The Well is designed to be a "close to home" training and equipping event for local church youth workers, volunteer or paid. The three hour meeting is perfect for learning, fellowship and refreshment. This is the sixth season for The Well, and we hope that this time of equipping will be helpful to you and your ministry with youth.
The Well for Fall of 2010 will be presented from October 11th - November 1st at various locations around Illinois.

Tim Price, Director of Harvest Ministry
Tim has served in the youth ministry arena since 1990. With experience both on staff in local churches and as a guest ministry leader in hundreds of churches, Tim brings experiences from youth ministries and leaders from all over the state and Midwest. He has a passion to walk along side local churches and during this sixth season of The Well, he will lead worship and speak during the first session.

Ricky Spindler, Student Ministries Pastor, Stone Creek Church, Champaign, IL
Ricky is a passionate ministry leader overseeing the children and youth ministry at fast growing Stone Creek Church. Ricky has a proven track record of raising up leaders and volunteers to accomplish the ministry as a team. His gift in connecting with student has been one key to a successful ministry. Other keys include turning team member loose, prayer, scripture and reading.

Dave Plemons, Director of Student Ministry at New Horizon UMC, Champaign, IL.
Dave has served on staff with this growing youth ministry since 2006. He has a gift for teaching and vision. His team has been assembled to help in developing a youth praise band, a solid volunteer team and dynamic weekly ministry to help students grow in discipleship.

Duke Hampsch, Youth Pastor, First Baptist Church, Vincennes, IN
Duke has served in various local churches and has been at FBC for five years. During this time, he has developed a solid ministry and has brought on a youth ministry staff assistant as his pastoral role has increased. Duke is a master at motivating people and pulling students in to the ministry, to leadership and faith.

Luan Warren, Director of Student Ministries, St. Matthew UMC, Belleville, IL
Luan has been serving in youth ministry for the last 25 years. In her current role she has developed a deep faith and commitment in the students in her ministry. Having her own teenagers has given her a perspective of ministry with the family that is invaluable. Her growing ministry is grounded in discipleship, prayer and commitment.

Session Topics
Three session topics will be presented at The Well:
- Life Changing Youth Ministry...Right Where You Are. As youth ministry evolves, what does it take for the church to have an impact on the lives of students for the long haul? What factors help them become grounded in faith no matter the size or style of your church?
- Discussion with Other Youth Ministry Leaders. There will be time during this session to connect with youth ministry leaders and discuss ministry ideas and concepts.
- Sharpening Your Ministry. We often are in our own worlds when it comes to ministry. During the final block of The Well, we will hear from a youth ministry leaders who, like us, is in the trenches of youth ministry each day. He/She will share their thoughts and ideas on: Communication, Discipleship, Volunteer Development, and Ways To Help Hurting and Doubting Students.
